Well, lore and myth did help keep our ancestors warm and feel safe at night.
I think quite a few people who feel as you do might have conflict with any official lore and would spend a grear amount of time complaining with eachother and complaining that the developers just don't understand their own product and those of us who use that product.
As I had mentioned before, I have my own lore for the characters that I use. It's not very detailed, but it keeps me happy. With that said, I've nothing more to say. Have fun and see you in The Realm.
@Umos Magistrate wants to ban public access crystals, not weapons, you could be trying to make a cute little night lamp with those things and they'll be knocking your door down five minutes later.
But in their quest to be total dickheads to the civilian population they have no problems reanimating corpses and summoning friggin Satan's right hand guy into the realm despite the risks.
Soo yeah, Magistrate=military douchebags doing military douchebag things and resistance= former military douchebags trying to stop military douchebags from doing douchebag things. That's the lore in a nutshell for ya.
I have two theories: one says Wekono and the other says Seris. I do know whoever it is, they are opposed to the Void based on some of his voicelines. I would suggest Wekono is the more likely of the two, based not just on the color of his crystal, but also because if she has enough of a stake in this fight to summon Mal'Damba to fight for her, it's more than likely she has enough of a stake to lay a curse on Androxus. Which would mean that Wekono should theoretically be fighting for the Resistance instead of being neutral (according to the current lore), but whatever.
Probably just Androxus as is.
In the OG lore he was cursed after killing Nox (Nyx). She is the Roman/Greek goddess of the night. That was back when Paladins lore was more intertwined with Smite's lore, which is how we got Grover in Paladins (being that he's also Sylvanus' treant).
I think so. The way I see the skin it's an alternate universe skin where Corvus instead harnesses the power of the Pyre instead of the Abyss. In a sense you could say Pip's is if he were a she and apparently obsessed over 80's arcade games.
@Memesis It's basically second amendment arguments in America. Gun control advocates believe some guns, like crystals, are too dangerous for civilian possession while gun rights advocates believe individuals should have the freedom to determine for themselves what's best for them. Basically, the Resistance are conservatives and the Magistrate are liberals.
I like how you define liberals as lawful evil and conservatives as chaotic good. That's pretty much my assessment as well.
I'm a conservative, but Vivian could probably change my mind. : P
the only thing really bout the lore is a fantasy world with a bad resistance and a mediocre ignorant magistrate.
I've been thinking of a thing to expand on the lore and the map, the first thing I've actually done was the jenos reimagination I did
@Dusklicious Being an Abyssal Lord, I kinda picture Raum having demon servants and an harem of succubi, stuff like that (obviously that's mostly headcanon, nothing has ever been stated regarding this). The main problem with Makoa is that he's implied to be a guardian spirit or some sort of very ancient being (like a Lovecraftian Elder God), so I don't think there're others of his kind.
