This is a really good idea. Another thing id like to add is that skye or any other character with below 2000 HP should be put there to test certain combo's like maeves 2k dmg combo while using rogues gambit and many others to help get at using them at certain situations.
Are you on console or PC? for PS4 open the scoreboard, use arrow keys to hover over their names and press triangle (ult button) to mute. Remember that any ult you have is going to be used because Hirez ofcourse, so do it in spawn or before your ult is ready.
Also it seems bugged most probably after the last update and some people refuse to get muted which is a real pain if they happen to be the toxic cunt you're trying to mute
Fair enough comrade...
I see where I misinterperated this... I'll literally skimmed passed a few words and read it the wrong way.
I have had a busy day...
My initial "half hearted" comment was a push for the game to give secure advice to users to use keyboard and mouse for better gameplay experience. I was mainly thinking in regards of using the chat system and chat functions reletive to the thread. I see how it can be read differently.
Personally I have not used KB&M on Console Paladins for a long time, my brother did for sometime on PS4 until it stopped working in game, so I am unsure of its current performance in regards to chat in game.
There is a person here asking for options to type mid combat on console... there is no in game information in game to tell people these things are possible, the ability to communicate is some core paladins gameplay, and due to consoles not coming with a keyboard, you don't see the same ammount of communication unless you have a wizard on the mic or vgs memorised willing to do the team thing. Otherwise it is just party chat and local comms like Discord.
It is just a pity that the current relationship between KB&M on console is jank and has issues we all know.
You are right in saying it falls under having a better options system, at least better utilitys to customise our capabilities, Options seems to get low priority for updates compared to seige maps and half baked game modes, even though it is what is hindering serious players from playing comfortably.
Besides the fact that supports keep getting directly or indirectly nerfed almost every patch, the one most prominent reason supports are rare is because they can keep their team alive for hours despite being harassed by enemy flanks all match because completely abandoning them on point is a pretty standard thing that DPS one tricks do, but the moment someone dies the first thing they do (instead of figure out what they did wrong which is how you improve yourself) is to spam"Need healing" even if the support was respawning at the time.
As someone who can play every role well and loves playing support I cannot tell you how relatable this is... people for some reason expect the healer to defend themselves alone in the back line when they get flanked by 1 or 2 good flanks/dps while at the same time keeping everyone topped up.
This is especially bad in ranked whenever I play support, cause when I am Damage or off tank I do my best to keep the healer alive since they’re the ones keeping everyone on point alive, and more often than not we win team fights this way.
Whenever I am healer it usually goes like this tho:
Tank or damage request healing...
I request help defending from enemies behind me and end up dying.
Tank and/or damage wonder why I am not healing them and then proceed to spam “need healing” or “GG”...
If people understood how important the healer was they’d do a better job being their bodyguard. More often than not, anytime a team has their healer on lockdown is when that team is pretty much unkillable, even when most of the enemy team makes it to cauterize 2/3.
I’m on plat and it seems like I see this a lot, I cannot even imagine how much worse it gets on diamond or master rank...
We have Lex. The closest we'll get without being accused of ripping off McCree.
I don't think it's a big problem being accused of ripping off as long as no lawsuits come into play. A cowboy's not exactly the most original concept. They could also do all sorts of other cool historical concepts like a WW1/2 soldier with a scopeless bolt action rifle.
