Game FPS drops to single digits when I move the mouse

Title says it all, for literal months I’ve had this issue where whenever I move my mouse my FPS will drop to the point where it’s unplayable even in the menu
I have 16 gbs of ram , a 1660ti and a ryzen 7 3700x

Does anybody know of a fix for this I’d like to play the game again

Do you use MSI Afterburner?
Close any software not needed.

What is your CPU temperature?
Open task manager, Check your CPU clock speed to be sure it's not throttling down.

Monitor your Disk and GPU usage. Go to Performance Tab, at the bottom Resource Manager. Go to CPU and Disk. Check Paladins.exe. Look for abnormal usage values.

You can also check your mouse polling rate. If it is high, you many want to try lowering it to 250hz or less.

Do you happen to have a game pad plugged in? Unplug it and see if that helps.
