I took a break from paladins and I’m back. If you want me to be completely honest I’m not raging at much stuff anymore but tanks which I play the most still feel like some hot trash especially when going against a Tyra.
I don’t know how many people play Tyra out there but I feel like the fire bomb should get a little cool down nerf to 20 secs and her talent (burn, monster!) to make it deal 10-15% extra damage, no cripple, and Maybe a 25 reduced healing efficiency.
Her two other talents Mercy Kill and Hunting party are only used in the beginning and because of that the developers see that all her talents are getting played but ultimately when your going up against a Tyra she’s going Burn, Monster 10000%. Mercy kill is actually really good but no one goes it because they just have op burn monster that burns enemy’s for 9% of their max health over .6 secs.
What’s also crazy to me is that her firebomb has a bigger range of 500 units than her hunters mark which only has a range of 300 units.
Tanks going against her can’t do their job as well due to the massive rage again 500 units on her fire bomb contesting the whole point so it forces you to get off. Along with that shields are like paper now so they can just onto point while your shield (lets just take Khan’s shield) gets obliterated by like a mag of someone’s clip. (Viktor)
In conclusion Tyra needs to be nerfed just a tad bit. With the patch that ruined tank shields that just made tanks not be tanks. We can’t do our job standing on point and protecting the team due to these massive nerfs the only tanks they really didn’t mess around with was Raum Fernando, and Inara which is very dumb imo.
Sorry this is a bit frustrating, but it’s really hard to play against. Any tips would be appreciated!
Grover/Healers in Generals
I do not play on the pts but I did see lots of healing nerfs were being introduced and cauterize does not help.
Grover has always been that not point healer but close to team healer. With all the nerfs and stuff that is happening to healers specifically Grover with his blossom getting nerfed is definitely not helping. Sure they added a card where you get your blossom off 4 sec sooner (4 points added) to his cripple throw but that’s not enough.
On live Grover is still pretty trash considering all of the other healer outputs aka furia, seris, and Domba. He was a heal that you need to be in close proximity to even hit and even with that range cards on blossom it’s still trash when not going his blossom legendary which they nerfed on the pts aswell.
In general the dps have not been touched really by anything. I as a healer/tank take this super heavy and won’t know what to play besides seris, and Inara when the patch is live... yes I also know they are making changes everyday like shalin’s silence nerf already but I just want the game to be fun for every character and not just so heal bot trash can gameplay. Like seriously who tf wants to be like heal, heal, heal heal no damage done?? Killing gets your blood pumping and you want more so we should get that feeling playing any character.
I know every character has their of strengths/ weaknesses but unless you are fine with just pressing 1 button the entire game it’s not fun. The only healer I have fun on is ying tbh with her mirror legendary card it’s amazing I can be a healer and do good damage output!! :0
How does rank reset work..
I just want to clear something up do you get your rank reset after the season ends or can it be reset mid season? We have a month left in ranked and I achieved play 2 (woohoo). Anyway I just remember earlier in paladins season 1 I had my rank reset completely like I had to do my placements again after I got back into paladins again.
So I just want to make sure if I take a let’s say a week break from paladins ranked will my rank decay/reset.. thanks ahead for the answers!!

What really grinds my gears is the way raum is played why can’t we have any skilled tanks like Makoa. Why tf does this man do a 750 charge AND HEAL FROM IT???? Like really there was nothing in the character skills that said raum gains the same damage he did to the enemy as health.
Raum is also doing too much damage for his mini gun you should put that down to 30 and reduce his armor gain by at least 10% holy I’m about to break something... Many say there are tons of counters but I only see like 4 major counters and their all ults from drogoz, pip, Furia, and Moji.
Like you don’t understand also that cauterize is getting nerfed aswell so that does not help along with shields so he can just mow everything down. I just wish ignition made his gun shoot faster for 3 secs instead of no ammo consumed for 3 secs. And finally his clip size should get reduced down to 300.
Finally got that off my chest. Sorry but I just couldn’t hold it in any longer with these dumb mechanics and even more dumb hitboxes
Makoa needs to feel more smooth
Makoa is an amazing character don’t get me wrong, but I feel like he could use a more fluidity when it comes to his abilities specifically his moving from his shield to his ultimate.
I get some players play the half shell card, but I’m talking about when players move with the shield on his back. You physically can’t transform from the shell to the ultimate. This can be a big when it comes to survival.
Khan compared to Makoa can charge directly out of his shield which to me does not make sense.. why can Khan just transition like that but Makoa can’t? It just doesn’t make any sense? I’m also not saying to change Khan I’m just wondering why this mechanic is in the game for these two specific characters.
I would mention other characters like terminus going from his vortex to his slam, but Khan and Makoa are similar in a way.
Hello fellow gamers. I know we are on different platforms(pc, console) but don’t you wanna play on the same platform against the same people?
Well now you can’t! With the button allowing you to turn on and off cross play you still get put in games with different platforms. I am a console player myself and I don’t want to play against a 100+ lvl evie main who can just flick their mouse up and down like a dolphin so we can not hit her.
The button allowing you to physically not allow you to play with other platforms is just a punch in the face like you didn’t even enable/disable it.
I again will say most pc players don’t want to go against console players just because they want to play on their platform only.
I don’t know if this is a bug and no one spotted it but here you go. This was making me very frustrated going against we’ll say dumb because TOS and stuff like that players who just flick their mouse with there movement abilities is just to hard to keep up again especially with a very aggressive (experienced evie). Have a great day everyone! I’m going to not going to break my controller but, take a nice long break, eat some food and enjoy the Sunday.
How do I play Maldomba??
Maldomba is a very unique and I would consider him a hard healer to learn and play. I am just have a hard time creating a loadout for him and I want to play him effectively.
I would say the worst thing about Domba is that there is no miss forgiveness when shooting his snake heal thing passively ( forgot what it’s called sorry).
When you fire your main snake heal you have a 3 second Cooldown (I think.. with the card x5) which does help but for people on console who miss a lot with his basically have to put the card reduction cooldown for missing on domba in your loudout or you just wasted the heal basically.
I just don’t know what to do or how play Maldomba so I can get the most effective heals.
Do I run the snake miss Cooldown thing or what?
Luna needs a minor nerf (Nerf Suggestions!)
A bit of a rant...
(Keep in mind this is about Luna and not IO)
Since IO was added she was had the ability to cast Luna a pet that could deal damage, heal, stun and more. But that is why she needs a mini nerf/balance.
Luna can stun, do damage, contest the point (I’m sure some of you have noticed that too), and heal. I wish one of these suggestions will be implemented specifically the contesting.
Lunas stun imo is bull she should not have a stun in the first place and she travels through walls to get the stun as well. She also has a absurd amount of range on that stun which makes it even worse.
Luna doing damage as an “illusion/pet”. I know no two characters are the same but comparing ying’s illusions to Luna makes me wonder why Luna is doing auto damage as an illusion when ying has to actually command her summons to attack. I feel like she should have two modes one for attack and another for raw healing.
This is self explanatory but why can Luna even contest the point??? Hello?? It’s an illusion and not a actual person it’s a 5v5 game not a 6v5.
Finally healing. Luna is already so strong and can be even stronger with all the cards you can apply to Luna to make her heath increase and more. Her aoe heal needs to be a ability and not a legendary card. The ability would let Luna heal in her aoe for 5 seconds or so with a 12 second Cooldown. IO’s new legendary card could be a buff to her leap making it so that you can have 2 leaps or along those lines.
I know this is kinda a rant my bad but its just so infuriating to play against a IO who only buffs her Luna like she is a Tank of some sorts.
Fernando needs more buffs
First of all I would like to thank Hi-Rez for actually noticing after so long that Fernando needed a buff on his shield but that was not enough.
I will be talking about pick rates, possible buffs for him, and more.
Let’s start with pick rates. Tell me people when has a Fernando ever been in your game? Maybe once twice or even multiple games in a row. Fernando is one of the least picked tanks no champions in paladins just because of how the way his play style, cool downs and just damage on with the character.
Possible buffs I personally feel like would make him better is giving his base flamethrower a 30-50 damage increase and yes the damage is on 70 or so currently and it ticks even tho your target is out of LOS. This I feel would make him keep of with other tanks like Khan.
Cool downs are a big factor for Fernando by having his recent change to his shield was a good start going from 15 -> 12 seconds but they could have made it 10 I mean he even has a timer on his shield while Khan does not which I thing should be switched or match Khan’s shield.
Fernando also could have gotten a buff to his range of his flamethrower as well just to make him a bit more you effective.
Finally talking about Fernando and Khan why does his shield not go away when he is a ranged character but Fernando an up in your face tank has a timer and less health on his shield.
I’m not mad with the character I just feel like he is kinda ehh compared to Khan, Makoa and more. Anyway this is my opinion but If you agree cool if not tell me why you don’t feel like these or a specific change is good for the character!
