Paladins won't start unless I turn off my wifi.

When I try to run paladins through steam, it goes through the launcher but then the game doesn't start. However, if I turn off my wifi and I am not connected to the internet, the launcher disappears and the game starts attempting to log in but then if I reconnect to the internet, it closes.
