You want to give up? Uninstall.
Surrender options just feed toxicity and remove comeback mechanics.
You win some, you lose some but NEVER SURRENDER.

Add "Invite to group" and "Create Group" option at end of matches.
It's always nice to find team players in groups of random players, so after the match on the score board where there's reporting and friending options there should be an extra "Send invite" option. Also if there was a button to create a party where the group can opt in and it creates from anyone opting in (highest account level as leader?). This will allow the opportunity to create parties quickly and conveniently. More connection between players strengthens the player base.
Also the group invite between 2 steam users seems needlessly complicated. Instead of basing the matchmaking through Steam maybe localize it like the console clients and send updates to steam after matches (Just guessing off of user facing signs)?
RE: Question from a new player!
@Conrad_Max , @uhohhstinkyy : My personal thoughts are if you're gonna do duo support having a pair with a team wipe capable wombo combo is a cool way to go. Just get 'em near a cliff and press e . PLEASE UPLOAD A VID WHEN YOU DO.
As long as your not both running pure heals it could be a hell of a combo. They both have great long range and CC capabilities. I'd reccomend playing other champs and roles in casual to help you learn more counterplay (also, like ALL the Champions are cool) or experiment with other combos , but it's your game. BE THE MEME TEAM OF YOUR DREAMS!
EDIT: Try running with triple tank some time, with like Inara , Fernando and a Ruckus (as flank / DPS) , aka GOATS Paladin edition.
RE: February Rage Thread
Steam buddy decides to try Paladins. Send a group invite, doesn't group up.
Took 10 invites and I shut down the game and restarted from the steam invite to finally group as 2?
How's a guy supposed to rock a 5 stack if groups of 2 are almost impossible?
A game breaking problem if it's always like that I'd say.
RE: Can the upcoming accommodations calm down the toxic throwers?
Only thing that calms toxic throwers is a ban. The commendations aren't for them. They're for the people trying to improve the game and their experience of it. The people turning every match into a 4v6 have a lot of problems that have nothing to do with videogames. They suck at people.
I know because I was one of those people. I can still freak out sometimes, but I stay on push to talk and try to keep with questions rather than commands... although "where's the team?" is a grey area I'm working on.
But when I keep my shit together and am encouraging under fire it feels really nice to see a "You're a swell teammate" little award thing. Just a little extra incentive to keep it civil.
RE: Getting hate from some players. How do i react ?
My very first competitive match I had a guy threaten to report me for throwing in spawn because I didn't pick the support he wanted to pocket him, he talked the frontline into throwing too.
I reported them both and tried again, that said my experience couldn't get any worse and every match (even when I crashed) since has been an improvement.
There are a lot of people that think attacking your teammates somehow doesn't turn every single match into a disadvantage.
"My team's trash" says Raum charging into the enemy backlines to be surrounded while the teams still mounted and nearing the objective.
"No healer" says the Zhin dying to the enemy support (again) at the enemy spawn while the enemy finishes their final push because everyone was everywhere but near the objective the whole match.
Maybe if they took ONE second to notice where their healer was, or look at top to see the healer's dead, before whining it would be a totally different experience. But they don't.
It's not about the game at all, but the powerlessness they feel outside of the game that they try to correct and compensate for in a fantasy setting. Dev's are good, but they can't provide psychotherapy and counselling to their playerbase. When you get someone like that all you can do is either report and mute or try to challenge them. Sometimes I get a kick out of being as positive as possible. You're not going to change them, the best you can do is improve one of the people that aren't ruining the experiences day.
Maybe someday their see the errors of their ways. Probably they'll rage quit and go off to lose elsewhere in game after game where the problem is always everyone else.
RE: BOT players
@DDragonDaniel I also agree that it should be easier to tell when a team mate is a bot. In the interest of constructive criticism I was thinking that if they changed the allied name to the champions nameplate on disconnect that would let the team know they're a bot in control without giving the enemy too much sign that it's free farming. Also, if the Bots had their own Bot Banner in Training modes that would be clearer for new people. I've seen some people flame the bots not realizing they're bots. Kind of funny, kind of sad.
RE: Remove Item Shop
I disagree, the items open up a lot of counter play and balancing issues that don't get sorted at champion select. Not everything is good for everyone all the time and that's great.
The Skye example is great example of why I like it, Illuminate shuts her down, but who gets it? Where are they positioned? If they get illuminate they don't get something else. And if no one gets it, she's gonna have an easy time.
RE: Pip Need Goods Buffs for this Year.
Pip's awesome but I definitely agree he could use a little love. I don't think any of the healers suck per se but there are a few that totally stand out as falling behind.
Pips headbox is a counter to his short size. It sucks, so you use cover (of which more is more effective due to size) until you hop on over that Kinessa's head and blast her back to spawn. It's balanced homie, at least in a traditional gamin balance way.
I think a QoL change that would make a huge difference with combat medic is if your shots went through allies at full health. That alone would see a huge increase in healing numbers at lower levels.
Also like Queen suggested, mega potion should also include a 2 or 3 second cool down and maybe buff the damage resist card .
I totally agree with Queens statement on Grohk's horrible nerfing. The numbers might be better but the effort to get those numbers and the lack of reward mean he really feels like shit to play unless you're going damage. They're buffing his healing staff next patch though at least. Should give him 2 talents. What made totem great wasn't the extra totem it was the CC cleanse, getting rid of that got rid of any reason to pick it unless you like spamming useless band-aids so much you don't notice the enemy team at all.
RE: Epic Games (free) bundle not working
Wasn't working for me.
Submitted a ticket on the 9th. No response.
Submitted a ticket with Epic, got a response , I replied and got the resolution that it needs to be fixed on Hi-rez's end.
Submitted another ticket / update for previous request.
I'm starting to get pissed. It's not the free loot , it's the serious delay in resolving a simple with a promotion that comes off as MANY levels of incompetency. They need to fire a fucking middle manager and get 2 more support agents ASAP. It's a business, they need to act like it.
RE: Makoa and what's wrong with him currently
I think you're selling McCuddles a bit short but he could definitely use some love.
Talent wise 2 out of 3 are good, one's (Leviathan) pretty useless. Now , one talent is for hook, the other for shield I think Leviathan should be Shell Spin cool down is reduced by 4 seconds. That could open up a pinball death Makoa.
Also I think his Cannon could use a small buff and drop cool downs by a second or 2, on Hook and Shell Spin. But overall Makoa's great I think.
